Lifestyle sessions are such a personal and unique way to capture sessions. I love that we get to incorporate the clients individual style and capture spaces in their homes that they already have created memories in.
It’s fun to think about how in 20 years they will look back on the photos and not only have images of themselves and their new baby, but they will also have a momento of their home, their style and their décor at that time. These are the images that I cherish and love looking back on in my mom and grandmothers old albums.
I’ve known Kate for a short time and was so so touched that she asked me to document her maternity and newborn session
Kate is incredibly smart, talented and beyond beautiful inside and out. She is now also apart of the very cool “Boy Mom” group.
For her lifestyle maternity session we wanted to something that the family and especially Kate and big brother Myles liked doing together on a normal weekend morning, so we decided to bake chocolate chip cookies. Myles was such a great little helper.
Baby Boy #2 has since arrived but it’s great to take a look back and enjoy this session all over again.
I can’t wait to share his newborn session and story in a follow up blog post.
Myles making sure they pass his quality test.
After cookies we enjoyed a little playtime and the Wiggles of course.
Kate you are stunning! She makes 36 weeks look amazing and oh so easy.
‘Bunny’ (Kate’s childhood stuffy) was honoured to make several appearances as well.
I loved watching Bryan – the way he would look so lovingly at Kate, gently rub her belly, grab her hand and just snuggle and kiss her was so adorable.
Thanks so much Kate, Bryan, Myles and Lindor (the most awesome chocolate lab) for allowing me to capture this fun and beautiful session!
