During our session, Spring was in full force, and Summer was so close we could taste it!
I’m so happy to have opened up my 2015 outdoor portrait season with this gorgeous family.
Dan contacted me several weeks before our session, interested in booking a fun family session. I couldn’t have been happier!
First, it was so great to have Dad inquire about family photos and it was so refreshing to see Dad take the lead & booking a session that will capture and save memories for their little ones to look back on. Secondly, he found me via Steckle Farm – one of my favourite places and organizations.
And lastly capturing REAL moments is always so much fun.
We met at Huron Natural park, during a bit of a heat wave – but mother nature kept us on our toes. I drove the whole way to the session watching my windshield for raindrops – hoping so badly that I would not see one. The skies weren’t looking promising but when I met the family it did not matter – the laughs and fun began. I met princess Sophie, princess Madeleine and sweet Lucas. I also have to say that Mom and Dad did such a great job styling their family outfits!
(I also met Nana, and I’m so glad she joined us. She was such a great help with sound effects and funny faces. It was nice to not be the only one making crazy noises and funny faces – thanks so much “Nana”!
We started with a few posed photos, they are always great to have in the gallery and then jumped right into Lifestyle portraits of the Family interacting, snuggling and the kids having fun.
The girls really enjoyed the princess wands I made which was awesome!
We ended the session with bubbles – which I’m happy to say was a hit for everyone.
I’m so happy that I was able to capture moments in time that this family will back on for years to come.
