LUCAS’ CAKE SMASH | MISSISSAUGA BIRTHDAY SESSION
Helping this little guy celebrate and remember his 1st birthday was an absolute pleasure.
Lucas was the sweetest!
His calm and quiet personality was a dream to capture.
Lucas will be turning 1 in January!
He was such a sweetheart and a happy baby!
I started off capturing the birthday session with the bed setup and after he played with the organic wooden toys.
He was very much into the organic wooden toys and loved exploring them!
The song ‘Baby Shark’ made him smile so big. Behind the scenes we sang it over and over.
Every time we started over his face would light up!
The delicious cake was made by The Cake Engineer.
Her cakes are simple and white but, she does not skimp on taste!
The family always gets to take home the cake, well what’s left of it!
I like to keep the cakes neutral. This way we can focus on capturing the little ones expressions and little fingers!
Lucas dove right into the cake as we put him in front of it.
The beautiful cake topper made by Bre Creative Design Co captivated Lucas’ curiosity!
Once we took the cake topper off, he leaned in to eat the cake and took a big bit of icing!
He was completely covered in icing after a few seconds!
Lucas stopped eating the icing for a minute, we thought he was full and didn’t want to eat anymore.
That wasn’t the case! We realized what he was trying to do, poop!
He enjoyed the first two parts of the session more than the bubble bath.
This is why I choose to capture the Birthday Session in 3 segments.
If they are not a fan of one part, they will have beautiful portraits in the other segments.
I love when families allow me to be a part of their big milestones and this one is no exception!
